Erasmus/Socrates Scholarship

International Business Course

In the first semester of academic year 2001/2002 I had followed an International Business Course on Karel de Grote-Hogeschool in Antwerp, Belgium, as an Erasmus/Socrates student.

During a four months period I was learning about:

  • Knowledge Management
  • International Marketing (Operations)
  • Belgian Culture and Economy (including elementary Dutch)
  • Advanced English

Besides my background is in computer science, it was a very interesting experience to learn about some economic topics and my only regret is that because of the IT project I had to accomplish, I couldn't get more IBC classes.

As a part of my traineship in Belgium, I had to work on a project in IT field. The sponsor of this project was a Belgian company called Medior B.V.B.A. and consisted into:

  • learning about IBM SNA Networks and CPI-C Protocol
  • identify and test a CPI-C implementation on an Intel/Linux platform

Because the goals of this project were achieved, its continuation become my project as bachelor of science.
